Family Mediation Council’s Family Mediation Week takes place this week, as its cost-effective and collaborative alternative to court action continues to grow in popularity amongst practitioners and separating families alike.
From 22-26 January, Family Mediation Council will be publishing resources and hosting events for both professionals and the public to explain and promote the benefits of mediation.
Mediation can help divorcing couples resolve disputes without going to court. Meetings with an independent, specialist third-party are designed to allow parties to reach an agreement, avoiding time-consuming and expensive court action.
The process can cover finances, child arrangements, and the division of assets, helping families to more navigate a divorce more amicably and temper what can be a stressful and emotionally costly process.
While mediation can have incredible benefits, specialist legal advice is still crucial before proceedings. At Lowry Legal, we provide this advice in tandem with mediation services, so your divorce can be taken care of seamlessly, in one place.
Our experienced matrimonial solicitor and trained mediator Michelle Uppal makes sure that you will receive a bespoke, holistic service which puts your own unique circumstances and requirements centre stage.
