About Us

Friendly and outgoing, yet pragmatic and robust, Lowry Legal aims to change the way lawyers and the law in general are perceived. We’re brave, courageous, and honest in our approach.

Dealing with family law situations can seem like a struggle. You need the assistance of a specialist lawyer that is comfortable with uncomfortable questions and answers, and will do everything they can to achieve the right result. This is where Lowry Legal can help.

As a modern, progressive law firm, we understand that you can’t always find the time to visit your lawyers in person. This is especially true if you’re going through a particularly stressful time. That’s why we offer virtual consultations as standard. We also serve the entirety of England and Wales, so you can rely on us wherever you are.

Our Values

When you instruct Lowry Legal, there are several core values that you can expect. Here are just a few:

If you’re looking for specialist family lawyers, you’ll want someone that is upfront, honest and straight to the point. No jargon, no hassle, just results. This is our speciality.

Transparency is extremely important to us. This is why we talk about fees regularly to give you control over your budget.

Family law cases can be incredibly complex and multifaceted. As a result, you need a truly 360 degree service that can navigate every issue that crops up…not just the legals.

Whether it’s wealth planning, forensic accountancy, mediation, counselling or coaching, we will make sure that you get the expert assistance that you need.

People First

No two family law cases are ever the same. That’s why our clients are treated as whole individuals, not just a set of facts or a snapshot in time. At Lowry Legal, we make everything about you.

We will look at your entire journey, and bring in our specialisms and creative solutions to help you every step of the way. Whatever your situation, we can help.

Our Team

With decades of knowledge and expertise dealing with complicated family law matters, you can rely on our team to help.

Katie McCann
Katie McCannManaging Partner
Katie prides herself on seeing the bigger picture for her clients. She understands that relationship breakdown is not just one distinct point in time. She believes in providing creative solutions for those she acts for, whether that be calling in an accountant, a wealth manager, a tax adviser or other professional. Getting the right answer is top of the agenda.

As a barrister, she has the wealth of experience and knowledge to take a client from initial instructions in the office through to appearance at a final contested hearing if necessary. She is pragmatic and sensible in her approach and actively seeks settlements for her clients, but is a force to be reckoned with if needs be in court.

Katie is the Managing Partner and Founder of Lowry Legal. She created the brand to provide freedom of choice and flexibility for clients in how they access legal services in this post pandemic era.

Katie is regularly instructed by entrepreneurs, business owners, people in the public eye and professionals in the public and private sectors. Her expertise is spread across all aspects of family law but in particular she is focused on achieving financial settlements for her clients on separation and divorce. She also advises on protection of wealth through pre and post nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
