About Katie

Katie prides herself on seeing the bigger picture for her clients. She understands that relationship breakdown is not just one distinct point in time. She believes in providing creative solutions for those she acts for, whether that be calling in an accountant, a wealth manager, a tax adviser or other professional. Getting the right answer is top of the agenda.

As a barrister, she has the wealth of experience and knowledge to take a client from initial instructions in the office through to appearance at a final contested hearing if necessary. She is pragmatic and sensible in her approach and actively seeks settlements for her clients, but is a force to be reckoned with if needs be in court.

Katie is the Managing Partner and Founder of Lowry Legal. She created the brand to provide freedom of choice and flexibility for clients in how they access legal services in this post pandemic era.

Katie is regularly instructed by entrepreneurs, business owners, people in the public eye and professionals in the public and private sectors. Her expertise is spread across all aspects of family law but in particular she is focused on achieving financial settlements for her clients on separation and divorce. She also advises on protection of wealth through pre and post nuptial and cohabitation agreements.

Katie McCann is listed as a Leading Lawyer by Wiselaw.

Down to earth and no nonsense

“Clients describe Katie as being a down to earth and no nonsense lawyer. Her number one aim with every client is to guide them through their legal journey and separation as smoothly as she can, being both sensitive to their needs, but being pragmatic and realistic at the same time.”
